Welcome to the website of the Thornapple Association.The Thornapple Association consists of about 230 home owners on the Thornapple River in Grand Rapids, Michigan between the Ada and Cascade Dams. This section of the Thornapple River is one of the most scenic riverfronts in western Michigan and the members of the Thornapple Association work together to keep the river clean and beautiful. Although the dam in Cascade is owned by Cascade Township, the Ada dam is actually owned by the Thornapple Association and leased to a private company which operates the dam for production and sale of electricity.
