The Gerald Ford International Airport is proposing to construct a direct pathway, most likely a 9 foot diameter pipe, or ditch,  from the airport to the Thornapple River to dispose of all runoff from the airport, including deicing fluid, containing Propylene Glycol and other unknown chemicals. Representatives from our group are working with our sister group, the Cascade Thornapple Association, which represents river owners south of the Cascade dam, to address this issue.  The most up to date information is published on their site: Follow this link to their site:
